Take your Christmas dinner to a next level with these amazing vanilla christmas cupcakes. Perfect for adding a new favorite recipe to your seasonal standard bakes that you usually do for christmas. You still have time to make this as a dessert, because I'm 100% sure that you will have all the ingredients below already in your kitchen. So what are you waiting for? Let's go!!!
Ingredients
1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda, heaping
1 tsp baking powder, heaping
1/4 tsp salt salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3 egg whites
1 tbsp vanilla sugar ( You can also use vanilla extract)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup whole milk
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Place cupcake papers in a cupcake pan.
In a large bowl, sift the dry ingredients together until incorporated. Including the sugar.
In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients until combined. (The batter may be clumpy! Do not worry, that's normal)
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until combined.
Distribute the batter evenly into cupcake papers.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and springy to the touch.
To make the buttercream frosting:
To be honest, I didn't take any measurements for the buttercream. So feel free and look what you need more to get a creamy but thick consistency.
In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, cream some room temperature butter.
Add in confectioned sugar.
Now add salt, a bit of milk, philadelphia or other cream cheese and vanilla. Mix until fluffy.
Separate into multiple bowls and add green food coloring.
Finally, put your delicious frosting on top of your golden cupcakes. And your done ♡
Enjoy ♡
