You may have caught yourself running away from things you actually really want. You decided to pretend that relationships are not meant for you, and that you've happily distanced yourself from the idea of being loved. Because the thought of being alone hurts less than the thought of getting hurt by someone you fell for. Maybe this has to do with previous heartbreaks, childhood trauma or other things you had to deal with.

But one day you will crave these things. You'll hope for someone to know you, to envelope you with their presence and make you feel like you've got a safe space in their arms. Someone that can't wait to meet you, laugh tears with you, look at the stars, do road trips with you, while listening to some good ass music he actually hates but ignores, since it's your music taste hehe, someone who cares about your mental health, who asks how your day was, who shares the same passion for chocolate as you do, someone who actually brings you the chocolate to make mousse au chocolate at 11pm ( who cares what time it was, right? ;) )

Someone that buys star ceiling lights, to hang them up in your apartment, since you told him that you missed seeing the real ones from your old windows. Fall for the person that gives you headache and cuteness overload at the same time when it comes to Dreamcars (lol). Someone who gives you butterflies you've never experienced before. A person who fills your heart with joy, every time he laughs. Because it's the most beautiful thing you've seen in a long time.

Fall for someone who makes you a better person, without changing anything about you. Someone that makes you miss him, because believe me, its not something that is self-evident. And it's sad but special at the same time, to actually miss someone. . And especially fall for the person, who doesn't make you feel that love is hard.

I hope you too find something real, because nothing is more beautiful than loving someone who loves you back and would choose you - and only you - day after day.

So please don't punish yourself for how people treated you in your past life. Don't punish yourself because other's didn't know your worth. Don't deprive yourself of a good, healthy and loving relationship because you're scared of allowing someone into your heart again. Instead, give this special person you're thinking of a chance. Put your feelings on the line, and be open to bringing down your walls, when you meet someone who is worthy of your energy and time.
