Ecosia- The search engine that plants trees.

Today I would like to present you a great project, which I think needs more recognition. You want to feel less guilty about your carbon footprint, help the ecosystem and do something good for the environment, but don't know where to start? What do you think of planting trees by doing nothing??

Our environment needs trees. By searching with Ecosia you can help to reverse the worst effects of climate change for free. This means for you, that you don't need seeds or gardening experience. Basically you do something good while being on the internet.

How does Ecosia work?

The search engine donates over 80% of their ad profits to charity. Every search rises around 20 European cents. This means that for every 45 searches, they will plant a tree where it's most needed. For example in Madagascar, Ethiopia and many more countries. So the more you search, the more trees you plant, obviously! To motivate you and to point out how many trees have been planted already, there is a counter, which is a great reminder why you should continue using this search engine.
